چکیده
The TiB2 coating deposited by magnetron sputtering on the Ti6Al4V-simulated blade tip with a dense fiber-like microstructure has adhesion strength grade of HF1. High-speed rubbing results showed that could inhibit adhesive transfer Al-hBN seal at 300 m/s. It was found tribological oxidation led to TiB2/fused Al interface reaction characterization Al-adhesive tip. thin interlayer mainly consists TiAl3 phase. large thermal stress TiAl3/TiB2 makes layer easily peel off from Thus, is always lower level.

Microstructure and Tribological Performance of TiB2-NiCr Composite Coating Deposited by APS
Nickel chromium (NiCr) powders with different titanium diboride (TiB2) additions (20, 40 and 60 wt %) were prepared with a mechanical alloying method and then sprayed using an air plasma spraying technology. The microstructure and phase composite of the powders and the cross-sections of deposited coatings were analyzed with a scanning electronic microscope and X-ray diffraction. The tribologica...
متن کاملAdditive manufactured Ti6Al4V scaffolds with the RF- magnetron sputter deposited hydroxyapatite coating
Present paper reports on the results of surface modification of the additively manufactured porous Ti6Al4V scaffolds. Radio frequency (RF) magnetron sputtering was used to modify the surface of the alloy via deposition of the biocompatible hydroxyapatite (HA) coating. The surface morphology, chemical and phase composition of the HA-coated alloy were studied. It was revealed that RF magnetron sp...
متن کاملEffect of Scanning Speed on Material Efficiency of Laser Metal Deposited Ti6Al4V
The study of effect of laser scanning speed on material efficiency in Ti6Al4V application is very important because unspent powder is not reusable because of high temperature oxygen pick-up and contamination. This study carried out an extensive study on the effect of scanning speed on material efficiency by varying the speed between 0.01 to 0.1m/sec. The samples are wire brushed and cleaned wit...
متن کاملDry Sliding Wear Behavior of Ti6Al4V and TaN against TiN Deposited Steel Surface
The objective of this research is to study the dry sliding wear behaviour of metal surfaces and influences of their surface hardness. The improved hardness of the TiN deposited surface was about 1763 Hv. The worn surface Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) morphology exhibits the surface damage due to varying wear test parameters. The Electron Dispersive Spectroscopy (EDS) reveals that the mater...
متن کاملTurbine Blade Tip Leakage Flow Control: Thick/Thin Blade Effects
An experiment was conducted in a linear cascade of Pak-B blades for an exit Mach number of 0.3 to simulate the flow in the tip-gap region of a low pressure turbine blade row. The experiment focused on the independent effects of thickness-to-gap and gapto-chord ratios on the tip-gap flow behavior. Two extreme gap-to-chord ratios of 5% and 8% were chosen, for which four thickness-to-gap ratios we...
